UAW Local 3064 Host Auction
UAW Local 3064 Women’s Committee Hosted a quarter auction on Saturday April 29 2023. Our Women’s Committee went out into the community and we were able to get about 80 items and gift cards donated to our Women’s Committee. There was about 70 people in attendance.
UAW Local 3047 Women’s Committee and UAW Local 862 Women’s Committee supported the event, which raised $2,787.43 this event. Our Local is small we have only 340 UAW members, with only four on our Women’s Committee. We also have several women that are not on our Women’s Committee but they help out when we need them.
UAW Local 3064 Women’s Committee members include Chairperson Bev Fryman, Co-Chair Jenny Gripshover, Recording Secretary Natalie Riggs and Alisha Partin. Jenny has done a great job getting on line donations. Committee members solicited donations within the community and online. Other UAW 3064 members helping included Ben Webster, Jeffery and Madalynn grandchildren of Bev Fryman Jenny Gripshover son Jacob, and Natalie Riggs’s children William and Olivia.
Proceeds will go to buy school supplies and pay for under privileged children in Grant County to play sports. Additional it will provide flowers for the residents at the local nursing home for Mother’s Day. and supplies to make blankets for the residents. Thank You to all who donated and made this event a success. Also Thank You to everyone who came to our Auction.
